RELIC FINE ART STUDIO

Capturing the raw energy of sports, nature, and culture. Using charcoal and mixed media, I turn high-speed motion into permanent, tactile art. Hand-rendered, timeless, and built for the modern collector.

Black & Yellow Series

Inspired by the 2025/2026 Milwaukee Wave indoor soccer team. This series is created with mixed media. Charcoal, acrylic, and embedded synthetic black turf exactly like the team plays on at the UWM Panther Arena. Originals are on 24x36” gallery wrapped canvas.

I’m Simeon Dieterle, and I create art that feels like it has a history.Working out of my studio on a retired dairy farm in West Bend, I am drawn to the raw, the imperfect, and the tactile. Whether it’s the immediate, grit-heavy nature of charcoal or the complex layering of mixed media, I don’t believe art should feel detached or untouchable. I create work that feels alive. My process is a cycle of building and breaking—layering materials, sanding them down, and waiting for the right form to emerge. I want every piece that leaves my studio to feel like a relic that has been found, not made; something that grounds a room and rewards a second look.My creative foundation is lifelong. As the son of an Art Institute of Chicago graduate, I was immersed in the language of formal art and composition from an early age. This early exposure, combined with my professional experience as a Massage Therapist, and a lifelong athlete gives me a unique perspective on the human form and the mechanics of movement. I approach the canvas with a deep-rooted fascination for how things are constructed—both physically and naturally—which informs the textures and rhythms of my work. I believe art should be grounded in the earth, yet elevated in its execution.Everything I create is built to last, using professional-grade archival techniques that ensure your piece maintains its character for decades.Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind original or a gallery-grade print to add depth to your walls, I am glad you are here. Let’s find something that belongs in your space."

FAQs

  • How should I care for my mixed-media artwork?

  • My pieces are built to last using professional-grade archival techniques. To maintain their character for decades, keep them away from direct, high-heat sunlight and avoid humid environments. Dusting should be done lightly with a dry, microfiber cloth.

  • Do you offer framing services?

  • Yes. Because my work is highly tactile and often features unique edges, I offer consultation on custom framing solutions that protect the piece while enhancing its presence in your space.

  • What is the difference between an original and a print?

  • Originals are one-of-a-kind, heavily textured works on canvas. Gallery-grade prints are archival-quality reproductions that capture the visual depth of the original, making them an excellent choice for a wider range of display options.

  • Can you accommodate commercial or corporate projects?

  • I am available for large-scale installations, including custom print bundles and mural-style vinyl wall installations tailored specifically to your commercial space. Please include these details in your initial inquiry.

  • Do you ship internationally?

  • Yes. I use specialized, insured packaging for all shipping to ensure your piece arrives in pristine condition, regardless of its destination.
